Au Pair in China Programme 

PACKAGES FROM ONLY £695 FOR 3 MONTHS! 

Families in China are looking for au pairs to help their children learn English and explore Western cultures. You will have an educational role and in exchange for your linguistic and cultural knowledge, you get to learn Mandarin and all about Chinese cultures! Au pairing in China is an affordable way to experience meaningful travel by living abroad.

WHAT'S INCLUDED?

Your package includes:

Make new friends and learn about new cultures with the group training and orientation!

  • Return flights

  • Accommodation and meals with your host family

  • Medical and accident Insurance

  • Monthly 'pocket money' of 1,500RMB  (a meal out = 20RMB) 

  • At least: 1.5 days off a week, 1 weekend off a month and 3 days paid holiday

Not Included:

  • Police Check

    • For UK citizens: normally the Basic Disclosure

  • Health Check

    • Medical form signed by your GP

  • Chinese Visa

    • Prices vary, for UK citizens a Chinese visa is £85 plus postage and application centre fees

  • Travel costs to your departure airport

Requirements & Responsibilities

Our au pairs and host families both have requirements to meet. This ensures that expectations are clear on both sides


Au pairs

Requirements

* Be between the ages of 18-29 (inclusive) at the time of travel.

* Be proficient in English

* Have a clean criminal record

* Be fit and healthy enough to work with children

* Have completed secondary education or equivalent

* Are passionate about working with children

* Have a desire to learn about China

* Possess good communication skills

Responsibilities

Details of your responsibilities are finalised in the placement agreement between you and your hosts, but usually include:

* Up to 30 hours a week of au pairing.

* Childcare: morning routine, school runs, bedtime etc

* 'English playtime' 

* Teaching English through games, song, activities etc

* Light household chores (helping with dinner, washing up etc)

 

 

You will be a role model for your little brother or sister and a guest in a family home, so mutual respect is important. 


Host families

Responsibilities

* Provide the au pair with a private bedroom with broadband 

* Provide the au pair with at least three meals a day

* Provide the au pair with monthly pocket money 

* Ensure the au pair has time to attend language and culture courses

* Treat the au pair as a member of the family and respect their culture

Requirements

* Healthy and without criminal record 

* Financially able to support an au pair

* Live in a house suitable for hosting an au pair

* Have a desire to learn about the UK

* Happy to introduce an au pair to Chinese culture

* Possess good communication skills

 

All our host families are checked by our partner in China for suitability.
